Your Dedication is Amazing

This has been another big poppy week this week with over 120 poppies rolling in … taking the grand total received to date 2,000. That is nothing short of amazing. We are truly loving receiving your poppies and your stories from all over the country and sharing them with others on our blog. Thank you again from the bottom of ous hearts. Lynn & Marg.

These images were taken at poppy playtime this month at Fed Square. Such a lovely collegiate thing to do second Monday of every month. We would love you to join us at our October Poppy Playtime … meet new people and enjoy a coffee while you are making poppies. Monday 14 October from 12.00 midday to 2.30 or thereabouts.

About 5000 Poppies

The 5000 Poppies Project is a community tribute of respect and remembrance for our servicemen and women, their families and their communities. Created in 2013 by sisters in law Lynn Berry and Margaret Knight in honour of their fathers service in WWII, the project has been closely aligned with the Centenary of Anzac 2014 to 2018, and has consisted of a number of small and large scale installations made from handcrafted poppies from many thousands of contributors from all over the world.
